Well, the group Vector Brothers Unite here on DA is having a contest that Inkscapers might want to consider participating in.

It's a good idea for a contest, and it's a great opportunity to show the proprietary folk what Inkscape can do. I would like to stress though, they do want an abstract piece. However, it does seem like a good amount of Inkscape work is done drawing women (as goes for most tools and art forms), so... why not make everyone aware of this?
